Step 1: Online registration. Before arriving in Santiago, go to the official website of the Pilgrim Office to fill out the form with your contact information. This will save you time once you arrive.
The official reference website is that of the Oficina de Acogida al Peregrino in Santiago de Compostela, which you can find at oficinadelperegrino.com
Step 2: Receiving the code. Once the form is submitted, you will receive a QR code or an alphanumeric code. Keep it safe; you will need it for your final registration.
Step 3: Presentation at the office. Once in Santiago, present yourself at the pilgrims' office with your credencial and the code you received to officially obtain your Compostela.
